Io e Greta ci troviamo sempre all’ora giusta nel posto sbagliato. Ecco come inizia sempre la nostra giornata qui in Cina.

Stamattina ci siamo incamminate verso l’edificio dove si sarebbe tenuta la prima lezione della Summer school. Dopo aver visto l’anfiteatro pieno di studenti che partecipavano alla cerimonia di inizio dell’anno accademico e aver seguito un viale alberato che costeggia il fiume, siamo finalmente arrivate.

Le lezioni si tengono in una costruzione simile agli edifici italiani con grandi specchi colorati, le aule sono piccole ma ben attrezzate. Arriva LEI, una persona molto simpatica, che parla un ottimo inglese e davvero amichevole. Ci accoglie e ci spiega i progetti di internazionalizzazione dell’università di Chongqing  di cui anche noi facciamo parte.

I fini della sezione internazionale dell’università di Chongqing  sono quelli di creare relazioni con studenti provenienti  da tutto il  mondo così da migliorare la qualità dell’istituto stesso. L’università negli ultimi anni ha già sviluppato rapporti con università italiane, francesi, tedesche e indiane.

Successivamente la lezione comincia con il prof Xin economista giovane che ha vissuto per diversi anni in Inghilterra e un anno a Tokyo. Ecco che ci illustra le varie unità di misura dell’economia in generale e ci mostra i tassi di crescita dell’economia cinese dal 1978 al 2013. In particolare ha evidenziato i punti forti della Cina (settore automobilistico, delle costruzioni…), sottolineando anche i recenti investimenti in una politica di Green Environment.

Alle 12 è suonata la campanella di fine lezione e siamo stati invitati al pranzo di benvenuto presso la mensa universitaria dai nostri tutor cinesi. Il pranzo è stato un bel momento di condivisione e di confronto tra due diverse università le nostre due Università.

Dopo pranzo abbiamo visitato il nuovo campus cinese di Chongqing  che si trova a circa 40 minuti dal nostro campus. Appena entrati nel campus ci siamo impressionati per la quantità di ragazzi in uniforme che marciavano per il giardino dell’università. La dolcissima Giada, studentessa cinese, ci ha spiegato col suo ottimo italiano che erano matricole che dedicano il primo mese ad un allenamento militare. Dopo abbiamo passeggiato attorno al lago del verdissimo e spettacolare parco del campus.

Al termine l’autobus ci ha riportato al nostro campus da dove ognuno è partito per un giro del centro città.

This morning we walked to the building where the first lesson of Summer School would be held.  Before reaching it, we saw the ceremony of welcome for the master’s students.

We have lessons in a building similar to an Italian one, with full of colours windows and small but equiped  rooms. Then, the coordinator, a very friendly person, comes and explains us in a perfect English the Chongqing  university’s plains about its students exchanges.

The purposes of Chongqing  University are those of creating relationships with students from different parts of the world in order to improve the quality of the campus. In the last years the University has already set up connections with Italian, French, German, Indian universities.

Suddenly, the lesson starts and the economy teacher shows us the universal measures to compare the economy of various countries, and the Chinese inflation and development index between 1978 and 2013. In particular, he points out the Chinese production ( cement, autos and steel) and the green environment policies.

The bell rings at twelve and we go to the welcome lunch with the Chinese tutors. The lunch time has been a good moment of sharing and comparison between two different realities: Chongqing  and Milano Bicocca Universities.

After we have visited the new campus which is 40 minutes far from  Chongqing University. Just arrived in the campus, we have seen some students were wearing army uniforms and they were marching.

So Giada, a kind Chinese student, explains us with her good Italian that they are freshers who spend their first month by doing military training.

After that we had a walk around the lake of the green and spectacular garden of the campus.

At the end we came back and the our group went to do shopping in the center of the City.
