Oggi tour per il distretto di Chongqing dalle 9.30 del mattino alle 20. Appena fuori dal campus,
nonostante le indicazione dei volontari su dove trovarci, eravamo indecisi e abbiamo sbagliato strada e per questo siamo arrivati un po’ in ritardo al punto di incontro. Fortunatamente i
volontari cinesi e il professore ci hanno perdonato con un sorriso. Abbiamo infatti scoperto che per loro la puntualità è più importante che da noi, così il ritardo è meno tollerato.
Abbiamo iniziato il nostro tour di una giornata per il distretto in pullman.
Ci siamo fatti strada tra il traffico accompagnati da musica e dai moltissimi clacson provenienti dalle strade affollate fuori. Abbiamo seguito il fiume e siamo arrivati alla piazza del Museo delle tre gole un luogo enorme con una bellissima porta cinese. Qui abbiamo visitato il Museo. La guida ci ha accompagnati durante la visita di tre installazioni: una sull’ambiente naturale, gli animali e oggetti tipici della cultura cinese come le maschere, i dipinti e gli arredi. L’altra era un video sulle costruzioni lungo il fiume ma era in cinese, impossibile da capire anche se apparentemente interessante.
L’ultima era, dopo una pausa caffè per quelli che ne avevano bisogno, sulle stanze caratteristiche come una cucina con l’hot pot, una stanza da the, le macchine per coniare monete e per cucire.
Fuori abbiamo fatto delle foto con un altro gruppo italiano che ha seguito la visita insieme a noi. Poi dopo pochi attimi di clima opprimente causato dal più alto livello di umidità che ho mai sperimentato siamo andati a mangiare. Al sesto piano di un grattacielo ci hanno servito pollo, verdure, spaghetti cinesi, pesce e riso. Tutto era talmente delizioso che il mio gruppo ha rubato dei piatti ai compagni del tavolo più vicino, ovviamente con il loro permesso. Quando siamo usciti abbiamo fatto una passeggiate tra gli altissimi grattacieli e i negozi di alta moda. Ci siamo quindi diretti con il pullman verso un luogo fantastico costruito espressamente per i turisti in base all’architettura tradizionale cinese. In questo edifico di 11 piani ci sono moltissimi negozietti, pub, ristoranti, sculture e gente che vende cibo e lo cucina proprio davanti a te. E’ un posto ricco di colori e profumi talmente vari e diversi che a fatica riesci a distinguerli. Molti di noi hanno comprato i primi souvenir, mangiato e bevuto specialità cinesi. Vicino a questa struttura si trova una cascatella immersa nel verde di un giardino che ha laghetti e molti scalini. Tutti noi abbiamo percorso i vari piani su e giù più volte, curiosi di trovare qualcosa di interessante...ovviamente i nostri piedi urlavano chiedendo tregua. Così siamo saliti sul pullman per andare a vedere il Teatro dell’Opera, una struttura grande e moderna vicino
al fiume.
Da questo punto si posso vedere grattacieli, ponti e il punto dove i due fiumi si
incontrano. Anche se in Italia non sarebbe stato proprio orario di cena siamo andati a mangiare, onestamene scegliere tra pollo o maiale alle 18 era troppo per me, mi sono fatta incartare il tutto per portarlo via (non sono stata l’unica). Infine abbiamo fatto la strada di ritorno verso casa ammirando Chongqing di notte. I grattacieli illuminati nel buio con diversi tipi di illuminazione erano uno spettacolo da mozzare il fiato. Finalmente stanchi e affamati siamo arrivati al Campus A, la nostra casa per le prossime 2 settimane. L’avventura si è conclusa felici e soddisfatti delle molte cose viste durante la giornata.

Today Chongqing sightseeing tour from 9.30 am to 8 pm. Just out of the Campus A, despite the indications of the volunteers about in which place we have to meet, we lost our way and we
arrived a little bit later to the meeting point. Luckily chinese professor and volunteers forgave us with a smile. We found out that for them being in time is more important than for us, so being late is not so tolerate. However, we started our one-day journey in Chongqing District by bus. We made our way through the traffic guided by music and many clacson from the streets outside. We followed the riverside and we arrived at For People Square, an enormous place with a beautiful chinese gate. Here we visited the Three Gorgeos Museum. The guide shew us three kind of exhibitions: one about natural environment, animals and typical objects from Chinese culture like masks, paintings and furniture. The other was a video about the buildings along the river but it was in chinese, so impossible to understand even if interesting. The last one, after a coffee break only for somebody who needed it, about characteristic room like the kitchen with hot pot, the tea room, the machines for coins or sewing. Outside we took photos with another italian group that joined us during the visit. After few minutes of oppressing weather caused by the highest level of humidity I’ve ever felt we went at lunch. On the sixth floor of a skyscraper it was served chicken, vegetables, noodles, fish and rice. All was so delicious that my group “stole” some plates to the nearest table of us...well, after asking them the permission. When we got out we made some walking through the high skyscrapers and the luxury shops of all the most famous brands. After that we took the bus and we went to a fantastic place built for tourist in the traditional chinese architecture. In this building of 11 levels there are hundreds of shops, lots of pubs and restaurants, many sculptures and people who sell food and cook in front of you. Here all was colorful and there were so different kind of perfumes that you can’t easily distinguish one from the other. Most of us bought souvenirs, ate and drink chinese specialties. Near the building there is a small waterfall in a fantastic garden with small lakes and many stairs. All of us went up and down many times curios of finding out something interesting. Obviously our food screamed for a stop. So we got on the bus to see the Opera Theatre, a big modern structure near the river. From that point you can see skyscrapers, bridges and rivers meet together. Even if in Italy it wasn’t time for dinner we went to eat..honestly chicken or pork at 6 o clock was too much for me, so I packed the meal (I wasn’t the only one). In the end we made our way home visiting Chongqing by night. The lightened buildings in the dark with their brightness of different color took us the breathe away. Finally a little bit tired and very hungry we arrived at Campus A, our home for the next 2 weeks. The Journey ended feeling glad and satisfied of what we saw during the day.
